My competencies and interests have morphed and expanded through the years through my own dedication to personal inquiry and self-awareness. However, one thing has not changed over the years. I love helping people step into their full potential. I am passionate about bringing the best out of my clients. Most importantly, I love helping clients realize their own self-worth and excellence. There is nothing more inspiring than helping a person accept their own imperfect perfection.
As you will see, my skill set is varied and expansive. For more than a decade, I performed the duties of a high level Executive Assistant in both the USA and the UK. I worked in settings from finance to travel to multi-million dollar corporate offices to small start-ups. After a decade of this work, I switched gears and earned my Masters in Counseling. I practiced psychotherapy for 5 years in both private and public settings before embarking on life coaching. My complimentary healing studies include: Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or “tapping”), Energy Psychology, dowsing, and Usui Reiki. I love to learn and I continually develop and expand my competencies. When not working, you can find me in my garden, walking along the beach, organizing a neighborhood game of kickball, planning a new adventure or quietly sitting in contemplation. Check out my blog on self-care here.
I studied at the Institute for Life Coach Training and I will be taking the Board Certified Coach (BCC) exam in Spring 2020. Although no formal training, qualifications nor board certification is not required for life coaches, these are important to me.
I hold a Bachelors Degree from Gettysburg College (PA) and a Masters of Science in Counseling from McDaniel College (Westminster, MD). I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland, as well.
